Snake charmers protest ban on use of live snakes
Nearly 1,000 snake charmers held a protest in eastern India Tuesday, playing their flutes as they marched through the streets demanding the right to perform with live snakes. (Feb. 17). Watch the video below.

Calls to investigate Israel over alleged war crimes in Gaza prompts Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to promise state protection to his troops. The United Nations has said that Israel’s use of white phosphorus munitions – which can cause extreme burns- in built-up areas of the Gaza Strip was indiscriminate and therefore constituted a war crime.
