Guidelines for Contribution of Articles

Everyone is invited to contribute to the commemorative publication of NABC 2009.

Use of the following as a guideline is strongly requested.

• 1. Article submission deadline: 1st March 2009. Articles transmitted after this date may not be considered.
  2. Articles including essays, short stories, poems, artwork, photographs, comments, opinions, etc. will be considered for publication. Essays, short stories, poems, comments, and opinions are requested to be of reasonable size. All others are to be limited to one page each.
  3. Articles must include author’s name, address, and phone number.
  4. Pre-published articles will be considered only in special cases.
  5. All articles must be transmitted in electronic form as follows:

1. 1. English articles – typed in MSWord, font size 12, Times New Roman

1. 1. Bengali articles – typed using a Bengali font or hand-written clearly legible and double-spaced. Articles with illegible words or text will not be considered.

• Hand-written Bengali articles may also be faxed.

• 1. Articles may be written in either English or Bengali. Use of both languages in the same article is strongly discouraged and is acceptable only in essays.
  2. All articles must be non-communal, non-political, and non-religious.
  3. Selection of articles is the responsibility of the editors. Articles may be edited for consistency with these guidelines.

• 1. Articles may be returned to the author if requested with a self-addressed stamped envelope enclosed with the article. Receipt of the articles may be acknowledged if sent electronically (with an e-mail address).
