Thank you, Mr. Majumdar, for your thoughtful comments on the current issue of Palki. I do understand your point. Some of the comment threads may have received a lot more attention than others, and not all of that attention has been prompted by the literary merit of the write-up. But please allow me to explain this particular situation.
It may well be a joyous occasion for friend and family alike when one sees the name of a close or known person in print. It is but natural that they would want to express their joy and appreciation for, and/or solidarity with, the author. The online version of this eMagazine allows people to express themselves, authors and readers alike. Since we don’t moderate comments except for spam and patently offensive or hurtful statements, it is quite possible that a bias would be introduced in the commenting section. If you feel that write-ups worthy of attention have not received enough attention or encouragement, may I request you to peruse those write-ups and leave your positive comments therein?
Secondly, it is critical readers as you are that are essential to the continued success and survival of Palki. May I request your continued assessment and critique of our humble efforts? With newer issues, we are trying to focus on quality of the eMagazine more than anything else.
