A Huge Loss to West Bengal
Nano – the dream project of TATA and dream car for many Indians, will not be produced in Bengal. After a long lasting political infringement, TATA announced that they are moving out and looking for a better and suitable place in a different state in India. Though this is not the only project that TATA decided to quit. For example the Titanium Project (estimated 2500 crores) in Tamil Nadu is also waiting for its fate for about a year now.Politics and easily make a nano problem big. However, the action was needed to the advancement of car industry. It is very unfortunate that Bengal will no longer be a part of the revolution. Thousands of new jobs that would have been made available to hard working professionals of West Bengal will no longer be offered. Hopefully we will make supreme progress with our agriculture and make lot of money to keep ourselves happy.

A Huge gain to some other state
Chief Minister B C Khanduri of Jharkhand has already announced that they are ready to offer any help to TATA. There will be other brilliant  states to grab the oppertunity when Mamata Banerjee keeps up her excellent work of protest. Other states will get jobs, other state will flourish while Bengal Political Parties fight with each other.

Any Impact to Business Opportunity in Bengal?
The Singur incident will always be referred as a notorious example for business opportunity in West Bengal. Other companies who are presently willing to fund for Calcutta and Bengal will think twice, thrice and may decide not to invest in Bengal where Political parties are always against business developments.

What is Buddhadev Bhattachrya Doing?

Buddhadeb Bhattacharya government have been to work out a financial package that would appease Mamata Banerjee. Along with the land for land and land for cash schemes there is third alternative of a pension scheme. All 12,624 land losers affected by Tata Motors Nano Plant land acquisition will benefit. Even sharecroppers and small farmers will get a uniform deal regardless of size of agricultural land holding. The pension scheme is going to cost Rs.100 million per annum to the state exchequer.

What is Mamata Banerjee Doing?

The Trinamool chief, Mamata Banerjee had her way in Singur. The administration stepped aside as hundreds of Trinamool Congress, SUCI, Naxalite and other opposition supporters including national parties like Samajwadi Party laid siege to Durgapur expressway only 50 meters from Tata Motors Nano Plant. The agitation for returning the 400 acres to farmers also saw some prominent personalities.
The day marked by restraint and measured words from both ruling and opposition parties. By steering clear of any confrontation, both sides are buying time to break the ice on Singur deadlock.
The Trinamool chief came up with a surprise offer to the government, pointing to a patch of land opposite the plant on the other side of Durgapur expressway; she said it could be the site for ancillary units. The plot is around 500 acres and currently owned by real estate developers.
She is still protesting TATA and blaming TATA for BLACKMAILING Trinomul Cong. by leaving West Bengal in such way.

Trying to find good out of bad?
Some people are now saying Mamata Banerjee actually saved TATA from a big shame. TATA would not be able to meet the official release date of NANO by Durga Puja this year because only 85% of Singur facility is complete and pre-production testing has not yet been complete. So, Mamata Banerjee helped TATA indirectly.
